Even more basketball! But maybe not on TV
The Dallas Mavericks play their second preseason game on Thursday evening against the Utah Jazz. Monday’s surprisingly entertaining loss to the Grizzlies is fresh in the minds of Mavs fans but most people are likely very excited about the debut of Klay Thompson. Let’s get to the main things to know before the game starts:
- WHO: Dallas Mavericks vs Utah Jazz
- WHAT: The second game of the preseason for Dallas
- WHERE: American Airlines Center, Dallas, Texas
- WHEN: 7:00 p.m. CST
- HOW: NBA League Pass
This game is not televised. I have no idea how I’m going to watch it as I don’t have NBA Leagye Pass yet. This is another reminder of the very weird local television situation the Dallas Mavericks find themselves in.
As of this writing we know that Luka Doncic and Dante Exum are out with injuries. PJ Washington may not play either, same for Maxi Kleber. But the rest of the guys are seemingly going to suit up. That means Klay Thompson is playing!
The Jazz only have Patty Mills on the ESPN dot com injury report and he’s listed as day-to-day. This should mean fans attending get to see a ton of different guys playing a little bit on both teams. The goal here is for no one to get hurt.
After the game, even if I can’t find a way to watch it, Josh Bowe and I will be talking about the game on Pod Maverick. Please consider clicking, subscribing, then clicking the bell to get notified.
