The two guys in the photo won’t be playing, but what can you do?
The Dallas Mavericks are at home to play the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night. It’s the early game on TNT starting at 6:30 pm, so be aware when you turn on your TV the game might already be in progress. A lot of players for both teams are sitting this one out, so don’t expect the best basketball game you’ve ever seen. Here’s the main things to know:
- WHO: Dallas Mavericks at Milwaukee Bucks
- WHAT: The final game of the preseason for Dallas
- WHERE: American Airlines Center, Dallas Texas
- WHEN: 6:30 p.m. CST
- HOW: TNT
On the injury front, Luka Doncic will miss the game with a calf contusion. We expect Kyrie Irving to rest again. Maxi Kleber and Kessler Edwards have been dealing with longer-term ankle sprains, so it’s reasonable to think they won’t play again. Dante Exum is of course out following his wrist surgery. Other players may rest as well, but it’s unclear. It’s a national TV game so it’s hard to say what will happen when.
The Milwaukee Bucks won’t have Khris Middleton for sure and it’s unclear if anyone else is going to play either. All in all, this is kind of an odd situation. Neither team wants anyone to get hurt, but they’re supposed to play a game.
After the game we have coverage for you, but if you’re bored, consider joining us on YouTube where Josh and I will talk about the game (try to at least), then I suspect we talk about the odd broadcasting situation. Thanks for hanging out, see everyone at some point after the game.
