The Dallas Mavericks have optimism that Anthony Davis will be able to avoid surgery on his adductor strain. Davis is out indefinitely and a recovery timetable has yet to be announced.
Davis suffered the injury in his first game with the Mavericks following his trade from the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Mavericks and Davis will be “cautious” in deciding a return date. The Mavericks are also currently without Daniel Gafford and Dereck Lively II.
