After five games at home, Dallas spends much of the rest of the month on the road
The Dallas Mavericks (5-4) are on the road Sunday night, following a five-game homestand. They face the Denver Nuggets (6-3), a team riding a four-game winning streak early in the season.
- WHO: Dallas Mavericks at Denver Nuggets
- WHAT: The start of a very road-heavy schedule to close out November
- WHERE: Ball Arena, Denver Colorado
- WHEN: 7:00 p.m. CST
- HOW: MavsTV, Channel 29 (local fans), NBA League Pass, also Playback with Kirk, Matthew, and David
The injuries keep piling up for both teams. As of this writing (about 3:30 pm CST), the Mavericks have Dante Exum listed as out as he continues his wrist surgery recover. PJ Washington, Maxi Kleber, and Dereck Lively are all listed as doubtful with their various injuries. Luka Doncic is on the injury report as questionable with a groin issue and there’s no further information at this moment.
Denver’s also facing some issues, though not nearly as many as the Mavericks. DeRon Holmes is missing the entire season with an Achilles tear. Vlatko Cancar is out with an ankle injury. Aaron Gordon is going to miss several weeks with a calf injury.
The bottom line is that this early part of the season is very frustrating if you’re a Mavericks fan. Coming off the Finals, Doncic has looked uneven, Dereck Lively isn’t starting, PJ Washington is injuried and can’t buy a bucket… I could keep going. But, the season is long. Jason Kidd knows what he’s doing over the long haul or has thus far. Everyone (well, me) needs to relax.
As you can tell below, you can join me and some other Mavs Moneyball guys in a room on Playback (embed below) during the game (though I may not be able to start it until halftime). Also consider joining Josh and I on Pod Maverick live after the game on YouTube, we should start around 10:15 pm. Thanks so much for spending time with us here at Mavs Moneyball. Let’s go Mavs!
