Dallas has lost 3 in a row
The Dallas Mavericks (5-6) stay on the road Thursday night, playing the Utah Jazz (2-8) on NBAtv.
- WHO: Dallas Mavericks at Utah Jazz
- WHAT: More road games
- WHERE: Delta Center, Salt Lake City, Utah
- WHEN: 8:00 p.m. CST
- HOW: TNT and also Playback with Kirk, Matthew, and David
The injury report for Dallas is similar to the last few games. There’s no sign of Maxi Kleber still, which is good, but it’s curious Dallas isn’t playing him. Luka Doncic is probable with his groin issue. PJ Washington is doubtful still with his knee injury. Kyrie Irving was a late add with a questionable designation due to a shoulder injury. For the Jazz, Taylor Hendricks is out for the year after his horrible injury the last time these two teams played. Walker Kessler will miss the game with a hip issue. Colin Sexton is available to play, per the report.
Dallas needs to win this one. They need to start a run in some form. It’s important to actually get wins if they still have aspirations of being a top four team.
If you haven’t visited the site since the loss in Golden State, we have some good work up. Josh wrote a column on Luka playing differently. Tyler covered Klay’s homecoming and what worked and didn’t (beyond the loss). Mette wrote a Klay column I won’t spoil. David grades the last week. There’s also, of course, the longer game preview and the betting preview.
As you can tell below, you can join me and some other Mavs Moneyball guys in a room on Playback (embed below) during the game (though I may not be able to start it until halftime). Also consider joining Josh and I on Pod Maverick live after the game on YouTube, we should start around 11:45 pm. Thanks so much for spending time with us here at Mavs Moneyball. Let’s go Mavs!
