Late night preseason basketball on NBAtv
The Dallas Mavericks play their third preseason game Monday night, but their first road contest. They face off in the new Intuit Dome where they’ll play the Los Angeles Clippers. It’s a late game with a West coast start time of 9:30 pm. Here’s the main things you need to know:
- WHO: Dallas Mavericks at Los Angeles Clippers
- WHAT: The third game of the preseason for Dallas
- WHERE: Intuit Dome
- WHEN: 9:30 p.m. CST
- HOW: NBAtv
On the injury report, Luka Dončić, Dante Exum, Maxi Kleber, and Kessler Edwards are still out with their various injuries. Kyrie Irving is out, resting. It’s a little harder to find anything on the Clippers; Kawhi Leonard is out for sure, but I can’t find anything else on the internet at the moment. We’ll know shortly.
This is another pre-season game where Dallas gets longer looks at guys playing out of their regular season role. PJ Washington getting some burn will be nice; I am looking forward to seeing he and Klay Thompson play together. Expect head coach Jason Kidd to dip deeper into his bench tonight and earlier. There’s no real reason some guys should be playing at all, past the fact that the games are scheduled.
After the game we’ll have our usual stuff. Join Josh Bowe and I late for the recap podcast on the Pod Maverick Channel. Thanks for hanging out!
