The Dallas Mavericks listed Luka Doncic as questionable for Game 4 of their second-round series against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Per ESPN’s Tim MacMahon, Doncic is still dealing with a right knee sprain and left ankle soreness. He was also listed as questionable before playing 40 minutes on Saturday.
Doncic posted 22 points, 15 rebounds, and five assists in a 105-101 victory to give Dallas a 2-1 series lead. When asked what hurt after Game 3, Doncic replied, “Everything.”
“I’m just trying to battle out there,” he told reporters, per the team’s site. “I’m glad we got the win.”
Doncic averaged an NBA-high 33.9 points per game during the regular season with the second-most assists (9.8) behind Tyrese Haliburton. By those lofty standards, the 25-year-old is struggling with only 27.7 points and 8.7 assists in the postseason.
He’s also made just 26.4 percent (23 of 87) of his playoff three-pointers, down considerably from his career-high 38.2 percent during the regular season.
The Mavericks have nevertheless won back-to-back games over the top-seeded Thunder. Kyrie Irving matched his star teammate’s 22 points in Game 3, and P.J. Washington has led the way with 56 points in the last two victories.
“We believe in him,” Doncic said of Washington, via MacMahon. “He’s going with big confidence, just playing the game and being aggressive, and he’s got to keep going.”
