Klay Thompson has decided to leave the Golden State Warriors and have begun working on sign-and-trade options. Thompson is coming off a $43.219 million deal. The Warriors previously offered Thompson a two-year, $48 million extension.
The Dallas Mavericks, Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers are among the interested teams in Thompson.
Thompson was a first round pick by the Warriors in 2011 and they went on to win four titles together. Thompson, who is represented by Greg Lawrence, is coming off a five-year, $190 million contract agreed upon in 2019 following his ACL tear in Game 6 of The Finals. In 77 games last season, Thompson averaged 17.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists while shooting 38.7 percent on three-pointers.
