The Dallas Mavericks advanced to the second round of the NBA Playoffs this year. Now, Jason Kidd may be the beneficiary of a contract extension.
Kidd has led the Mavericks to two 50-win seasons in his three years in charge. Dallas made the Western Conference Finals in 2022. After missing the postseason last year, the Mavs will play the Oklahoma City Thunder with a chance to head back to the Western Conference Finals.
The Los Angeles Lakers were rumored to be a suitor for Kidd’s services. Los Angeles has apparently given up on any expectations they’ll be able to pursue Kidd to replace Darvin Ham.
