Dallas Mavericks big man Anthony Davis is on the verge of making his return to the lineup. Davis is increasingly likely to return during the Mavs east coast road trip next week.
Davis has been out since his debut game with Dallas on February 8. Davis played 31 minutes in that game and scored 26 points, grabbed 16 rebounds, dished out seven assists and blocked three shots. In the second half, Davis suffered a strained adductor and has been out since.
Dallas starts a four-game road trip against the Brooklyn Nets on Monday, followed by a back-to-back at the New York Knicks on Tuesday. The Mavs then travel to play at the Orlando Magic and Chicago Bulls to wrap up the trip.
The Mavericks start the day Sunday in 11th place in the Western Conference. They are tied with the Phoenix Suns at 34-37 for the final spot in the Western Conference Play-In Tournament, but the Suns hold the tiebreaker.
