The votes keep coming, but Luka and Kyrie are running out of time to move up the ranks
We’ve been keeping tabs on All-Star 2025, with looks at the first fan results and second fan results this month. The third fan tally just landed, and with staters set to be announced a week from today, Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving need to gain some ground in a short amount of time.
Going for the trifecta, Giannis Antetokounmpo again leads the Eastern Conference and overall voting as the only player to break the three million vote mark (3,489,956). Nikola Jokic leads the West with 2,924,436. Voting is picking up, as there are now seven players with two million or more votes (compared to three players after the second fan vote tally).

General Assessments
- Donic and Irving continue to get votes, but not at the same pace as the front-runners. Is Luka’s injury limiting his votes? Whatever the case, Stephen Curry took the #2 spot from Luka in the second fan voting and has only increased his lead in the third.
- Things have started to solidify on the Guards from both conferences. The only change in the rankings are a flip-flop of Darius Garland (#8) and Jordan Poole (#9).
- Similarly, the West Frontcourt saw a single swap of LeBron James overtaking Kevin Durant for the #2 spot.
- The East Frontcourt has seen the most shifting. #6 – #10 are now Evan Mobley (jumping up two spots), Jimmy Butler, Franz Wagner, Joel Embiid and Jarrett Allen (making his debut). The order was previously Bulter, Wagner, Mobley, Embiid and Paul George (who has now fallen out of the top 10.
- It’s certainly plausible that Donic can re-take #2, but the delta between him and Curry has grown to just north of 100,000 votes.
- There are still two days of triple-votes, tomorrow (January 17th) and Monday (January 20th). If you have an NBA ID and are inclined to vote for your Mavs, those are certainly good days to do it.
